Servanthood:
We
believe that if you are able to get your students to do something
with your message,
you
have succeeded! Participation shoots a student’s
learning curve straight up.
One
could teach on Servanthood for six years, and students could have
all the head
knowledge needed
to articulate a theology of service and
proudly quote a few Scriptures, but it doesn’t mean they’ll
be servants or really grasp Servanthood.
We intend to provide actual opportunities for students to serve and
provide self-less acts of kindness.
Kids will learn that:
God has called each of us to be a servant.
Being a servant means giving of yourself to others.
Sometimes being a servant isn't fun.
We are called to serve even those who are mean, or different, or unlikable.
Being a servant often requires sacrifice on our part.
